Methods to Support the OGSA

The OGSA is all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit association, and we appreciate your support through volunteering to help or finacial support.  Contributions help support our ongoing programs including our research library, on-line programs and conferences, translations of new resources, our website and other projects while contributions to our Ostfriesen Heritage Fund helps provide a long-term support endowment for OGSA's mission.

Since we do not have paid staff members, all of our operations are performed by volunteers.  Members can view our volunteer opportunities here.

Donations
Donations to 501c3 non-profits are generally tax deductible in the US if you itemize your deductions.  Please contact your tax advisor for specific information.

Matching Grants for Heritage Fund Donations
OGSA’s role preserving church records has qualified it for a 20% matching grant for contributions through the Lutheran Legacy Foundation. OGSA’s Heritage Fund was established as an endowment fund to help expand the OGSA’s programs and provide support for future generations of researchers.  Donations qualifying for the 20% match must be made through the Lutheran Legacy Foundation's website.  Click here for more information on this program.
